Addicted to Lead

have faced it. I have lead in my blood. Although technically these days that should really read "white metal" in the blood but that doesn't have the same ring to it.

The seed was planted in 1989 with the release of Heroquest.

But it all REALLY began with Space Crusade in 1990. God the time me and my mates spent playing that game, making up our own rules, cannibalising the minis for parts. Aces.

In the 20 years I've been wargaming I've played dozens of systems and bought far FAR too many minis. Too many.
In that time I've completed three armies; Space Orks, Space Marines and Protectorate of Menoth, as well as two Necromunda gangs and a gorkamorka mob. I'm also so, sooooo damn close to completing a German panzer army for Flames of War.
So.Damn.Close...
My problem is I get distracted very easily, I like to be doing three or four things at once and that include when I'm collecting armies. I promised myself I wouldn't buy any new platoons for my FoW Germans until I had concluded the last one. Then I found myself with 3/5 Panzer IV's painted and a Panther Platoon and a Konigstiger that had suddenly materialised out of thin air. (Or my debit card as it's normally known.)
So now I'm going to embark on a project.

I'm going to try to collect, build and paint a Dwarf army for the new edition of Warhammer PIECE BY PIECE!
*stifle laughter*
My first task is to paint the single GW Dwarf I own as a tester.
My second is to figure out an army list Third to get a schedule going
and fourth to buy and paint it all, piece by piece.

We'll see...
Along the way I’ll probably be continuing to paint my FoW Germans, the super secret Projekt Eins (more on that later), bits and bobs of other minis that distract...uh interest me and ranting vociferously on whatever subjects take my fancy.

Introducing stage 1:
I've made a start on his skin and general features, including a pure strawberry-pished nose.

Stay frosty.
